EPICSWP escrow and personal middlemen

How escrow works on EPICSWP

Think of escrow as a friend you both trust holding the money while the deal happens:

  1. The buyer and the seller agree on what's being sold and the price.
  2. Instead of sending money to the seller, the buyer pays through EPICSWP, which holds the payment.
  3. The seller hands over what was sold, for example the login of a game account, in the deal chat.
  4. The buyer checks it, makes sure it's what was advertised, and secures their access, for example by changing the password and email.
  5. The buyer confirms receipt, and only then does EPICSWP release the money to the seller. If either side has a problem before that, they can open a dispute and a moderator decides. The payment is never released on a timer.

Personal middleman (MM) deals

In a personal middleman deal, a member both sides trust holds the account while the buyer pays the seller directly, by PayPal, bank transfer or another method they agree on. Once the seller confirms the money has arrived, the middleman passes the account to the buyer.

EPICSWP no longer allows deals like this. Every payment has to go through EPICSWP, because escrow can't protect money it never held, and moving a deal or its payment off the site is against our rules. If anyone offers to act as your middleman outside EPICSWP, say no and keep the deal here.

Before you confirm receipt of this Help account

Your payment stays held by EPICSWP until you confirm. Check each of these on the live account first, and if anything doesn't match, open a dispute instead of confirming.

  • You can log in yourself, from your own device
  • The email and password are changed to yours
  • Your own two-factor is set up and the seller's devices are removed
  • Level, rank and items match the listing on the live account

Most game publishers' terms don't allow accounts to be sold or transferred, and the publisher of Help can suspend an account that has been. Escrow protects your payment from the seller, but it can't overrule the publisher.

Frequently asked questions

Do not confirm receipt. Open a dispute from the transaction page while your payment is still held in escrow. A moderator reads the deal chat and the evidence from both sides and decides the outcome, which can mean the full amount goes back to you.

No, and you should treat any such request as a warning sign. Paying outside the platform removes escrow entirely: there is no held payment, no dispute process and no recourse if the help is never delivered. Off-platform payment requests are against the rules and can be reported from the deal chat.

The buyer pays the seller's price plus the 6% escrow fee, and EPICSWP holds the money. The seller hands the account over, the buyer checks it and confirms receipt, and only then is the seller paid.

The methods offered at checkout. Payments can't be reversed once made, which protects sellers from chargeback fraud.

Either side can open a dispute before the buyer confirms receipt. A moderator looks at the deal chat and the evidence from both sides and decides who gets the money.

Listing is free. The buyer pays the 6% escrow fee on each deal, and sellers pay a 3% fee when they withdraw from their EPICSWP wallet.

It is held in escrow from the moment you pay, and it moves only when the buyer confirms receipt or a moderator decides a dispute.
